He keeps on having a feeling of déjà vu and flashbacks but doesn’t know what it means. Neha moves to the same orphanage for six months. Both of them struggle with their pasts as well as their present.

The story sucks me in right from the start. I loved the author’s writing. It was simple yet very gripping. The author describes the thoughts and emotions of the characters beautifully. It was very sad but interesting to read a story set in an orphanage.

I really liked Noel. He was kind and passionate. His character develops a lot throughout the book. He is one of those characters that I will remember.

Nidhi comes off as a cold-hearted person but the truth is that she doesn’t want to get close to anyone. She struggles with the pain of a past tragedy throughout the book. I could sympathize with her but her rude attitude towards Noel got a little annoying. Her character could’ve been done better.

The story of this book is very powerful. It was quite refreshing to read something like this. It was slow-paced but it wasn’t boring. There is suspense throughout the book and it kept me hooked. Themes such as adoption and poverty are also explored. The romance got a little corny at times. The story may have been a bit unrealistic and over the top. but I still enjoyed it. However, I think the plot was overdone towards the end.

The title is fitting for the book as we see that everyone has some secrets and the question is whether they can get past them or not. I liked this book much more than I expected. This is the first good romance book by an Indian author that I have read. It held my attention throughout. I liked how the romance wasn’t the main theme and the plot was much deeper. I haven’t read a book like this in a long time. It is the perfect weekend read. I loved the suspense and the intensity of the book. The writing weaved the story beautifully.

I highly recommend this book.

“I received a copy of this book from Writersmelon in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.”

Add this book on Goodreads Buy this book on Amazon Genre: Suspense Release Date: August 22nd, 2017 Pages: 235 Format: Kindle My Rating: 4 stars

Continue reading ➞ Beyond Secrets by Alka Dimri Saklani (Book Review)

[3
49,83,85,99,146,225,228,231,236,385,390,503
post-10883","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-beyond-secrets","tag-book-recommendations","tag-book-review","tag-books","tag-debut-author","tag-indian-author","tag-indian-book","tag-indian-books","tag-indian-rom","tag-reviews","tag-romance-book","tag-writersmelon
https://travellingthroughwords.com/index.php/2017/10/14/adventures-in-farland-by-moshank-relia-book-review/
Add this book on Goodreads Genre: Children's Fantasy Publisher: Rumour Books India Release Date: October 19th 2017 Pages: 70 Format: Paperback My Rating: 4 stars Mira and her friends Bira and Vira are on their way to Gunhill when they are meet Bushy, a funny man with ladybugs in his hair.
