In it, I explained something new I wanted to do on this blog. Basically, what I wrote was:

Every month I will read one or two books that fall into one or more of these categories.

-A book published more than two years ago.

– A book I have never seen anyone talk/write about or recommend. Books that don’t have a lot of online presence.

– A book with less than 500 ratings on Goodreads.

Before I started searching for books that fit into these prompts, I wanted to write a post about books that I have read in the past which I feel are underrated. This post is a list of books like that.

I love all of these books and I highly recommend them.

1. Waiting For Regina by Curtis W. It is described as a coming-of-age story and is built around the theme of racism.

This was a very sad but heartwarming book. The simple message was to stop discriminating. It is a short read and I recommend it to everyone looking for a book dealing with racism.

Read my full review of this book here.

2. Soul of a Wanderer by Jayasekaran Pillai

This is a collection of short stories containing the author’s experiences in various parts of India. This is a book that not only takes us on a tour of various places in India but also tells us a lot about humanity. The book includes pictures and short chapters. The stories are touching and all of them give an important message.

3. Bloodwalker by L.X Cain

The reason I recommend this book is that you can rarely find an amazing paranormal stand-alone book. I found the plot very intriguing- Children are being kidnapped by a clown in Budapest, Hungary and a security chief of a circus is trying to catch him. Meanwhile, a young girl arrives in the city. She belongs to the Skomori clan which consists of bloodwalkers. Read this book if you’re looking for an exciting book.

Read my full review of this book here.

4. What are you reading? by Bragadeesh Prasanna

This short story should be read by all avid readers and aspiring authors. It addresses the importance of reading for a writer.
