And her life will never be the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000080;\"><strong>My Thoughts<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Friend by Teresa Driscoll is a psychological thriller. It follows Sophie, the mother of a small child, and desperate for another. A mysterious woman named Emma moves to town and Sophie befriends her.<\/p>\n<p>The book moves back forth between the present time showing Sophie in an anxious state worried about her son and flashbacks from when she met Emma. The narrative was wonderful, and I could feel Sophie&#8217;s anxiety along with her.<\/p>\n<p>The author&#8217;s writing style is also quite good. The book feels longer despite having only 300 pages.<\/p>\n<p>The author built up the suspense brilliantly. The shifting timeliness adds to the mystery and keeps the reader on their toes.<\/p>\n<p>This book is an amazing psychological thriller. I was chilled to my bones by the time I was finished reading it. It is always fascinating and terrifying to read about what human beings are capable of.<\/p>\n<p>I highly enjoyed this book.
