Happy New Year and I wish you all a great year 🙂

Do you all remember me? Its been months now that I’ve been very inconsistent with posting. I started college in August (studying English Literature :D) and life has become very hectic since then. I still need to figure out how to keep up with blogging and bookstagramming.

Here are my most memorable reads from 2018 in no particular order.

The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

This year I was introduced to something amazing- The Mahabharata. Since then, I have been wanting to read as some retellings of this epic. I absolutely love The Palace of Illusions. I loved reading the story through Draupadi’s eyes. The way the author presents her and Karna’s stories make me badly root for them. Another amazing aspect of the book was Panchali and Krishna’s friendship.

Gurgaon Diaries by Debeshi Gooptu

This book was so fun to read that I absolutely did not want it to end. The author’s writing style, her observations and daily-life anecdotes in a hilarious style made me love this book.

Pyjama Profit: The Millennial’s Guide to a Sustainable Freelance Career by Varun Mayya and Abhinav Chhikara

A short, to-the-point and useful book. Jane Austen is witty and has an amazing sense of humor. I really wish there was more of these stories and that they were continued. The characters were dramatic and even ridiculous. Besides this, I’ve only read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and I feel like there’s a lot more of her to explore.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

I did not many romance or fantasy books in 2018 so this was a perfect mixture of both for me!
