My Book Awakened a Voice: <\/b><\/h2>\n

Research for my poetry book was a bit different than the research for fiction books. It entailed me figuring out the central theme, and how I would organize a collection. It was like piecing together a puzzle or displaying a collection of art along a wall. It had to be purposeful. It had to flow in ways that was a set-up for the next one to come. I chose five themes. Themes that depict things that I\u2019ve thought or felt. <\/span><\/p>\n

While researching for the book. I went back to my file of poems that were written in the past. It was a trip down memory lane. I laughed and felt sad all over again. It was amazing to see how mature I was in some ways then, but then to reflect on how much I\u2019ve grown to where I am now. <\/span><\/p>\n

My life was not hard but it wasn\u2019t easy either. I had experienced disappointment, first heart break, teenage insecurity, and more. I had questions about love, marriage, and relationships that stemmed from having parents that co-parented most of my life. My father was not there in my life until the age of 5. Even after his appearance, even though he was involved in some ways. My mother remained the constant and involved parent. <\/span><\/p>\n

As I grew older I became stronger and independent. I joined the military at the age of 19. I had my first child at age 20. \u00a0From Motherhood to Marriage to Divorce. All of it came in the last decade of my life. I have written my emotions, thoughts, and thoughts of others that share similar stories into poetic form. To show that there\u2019s layers to life and in the unexpected you still grow to where you\u2019re supposed to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Penning my first book was an introduction. For readers to get a feel for who I am. Who I am not. More important, who I\u2019ll be. \u00a0The message I aim to represent and find essential to promote. Why writing is my passion, and a work that I take with a privileged regard. It is home. No matter what comes about there will always be a pen and something to write on. As I write on. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tyfany Janee is a mother and an upcoming graduate with a BS in Business Administration in a concentration of Entrepreneurship, and a minor in Marketing. She is a prolific writer, author and poet and she has an upcoming plan of releasing a short story collection in 2018 that she titles; The Road Sometimes Traveled; and a poetry collection book titled “RSVP: To Be You Unapologetically.\u201d Additionally, a release of a debut novel, the first of a series in 2019 she titles; To Love Him..I.<\/p>\n

Her recent book is comprised of truth, meaning, hope, possibility and a much-needed element of humor when it comes to exposing the true nature of humankind. Tyfany devours inspiration wherever she can get it, from cult classics, to just about anything she can see.<\/div>\n
