The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky follows the story of 15-year-old Charlie who is about to start his freshman year in High School. He starts writing letters to an anonymous friend telling him about his life.
I loved Charlie. He is one of the most deepest characters i have ever read about. The book is in the form of letters written by Charlie and being in his head was what made the book special for me. Have you ever stood in the corner of a room and just observed people, thinking how they must be feeling or if they are as happy as they look? That is what it’s like to be Charlie.
Charlie has a certain innocence about him. He notices things that other people don’t and wishes everyone to be happy. He’s shy and socially awkward but he has an intelligence far beyond his years.
“I am very interested and fascinated how everyone loves each other, but no one really likes each other.”
This book made me think about many things. It tells us a lot about friendship, about living in the present, about being happy and most of all, how everyone has their own story.
This book made me feel infinite.
This review is very effective!
Good job!
Thank you!
Oh this book :’) And your observations about it and Charlie are on point. And I’m not even surprised 💕
