Copyediting
Copyediting is a word-by-word edit of spellings, punctuation, grammar (US/UK), usage, and syntax. It will be done using the Track Changes feature in an MS Word or Google Doc file. I will not look over the plot, story structure, characterization, settings, etc. during copyediting.
Proofreading
Correction of typos, spellings, punctuation, layout issues, and inconsistencies. Proofreading comes at the end of the publication cycle when a manuscript is finished.
Beta Reading
Detailed feedback on your draft. I’ll leave comments throughout the document and highlight any inconsistencies or issues. I’ll also provide a report addressing the plot, writing, characters, setting or world-building, and any other suggestions I might have.
