Bookish Discovery This Week is a weekly meme hosted by me and Mridula from Ecstatic Yet Chaotic. For more details, check out my introductory post here.
Hi everyone! How are you all doing? This week I’ve been rediscovering my love for YA Contemporary Books. It all started when I starting listening to the audiobook of Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I absolutely loved this book and will talk more about it in my wrap-up. After that, I jumped on to I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson. This book blew my mind and I can’t even believe how wonderful it was. I wrote my feelings on this book and the one before that in short Goodreads reviews. You can check them out here and here. I didn’t stop and now I’m almost done with More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera. Also, all of these are LGBTQ books and I think this was the perfect time to read them since it is Pride Month 🙂
I’ve read quite a few YA Contemporaries in the past but I hadn’t read many of these this year. Many of these books have very powerful and unique stories and that’s what I love about them. I also think these are some of the best books to listen on audiobooks. They are excellently done and form a huge part of my experience.
That’s it for this week! It would be amazing if you join us and share your own bookish discoveries with us. You can make a blog post or do it on Instagram and Twitter with #bookishdiscoverythisweek . Just remember to tag me and Mridula.

I love unique contemporaries. Aristotle and Dante is definitely one of my favourite YA books. So moving!
Yes, it is! Now a favorite of mine too 😀
Oh my gosh, how incredible is Lin’s narration of Aristotle and Dante!? By far one of my all times favorites.
I know, right? It was wonderful 🙂
