When the dust settles, his mother is unconscious and his best friend left for dead.

Stacking epic insult upon fatal injury, Zeus discovers the woman who raised him is not his biological mother. But to ensure her safety while she recovers, a heavy-hearted Zeus leaves her behind to seek answers at Mount Olympus Preparatory Academia.

Zeus embarks on a quest to discover who ordered the attack on his home, avenge the death of his friend, and find his birth mother. When some of his new schoolmates vanish, Zeus’s quest is turned upside down, and the only way to make things right is to access the power of The Sky Throne, confront a most dangerous enemy, and take his life back.

On his way to becoming king of the Greek gods, Zeus will learn to seize power, neutralize his enemies, and fall in love.

Guest Post: How did you do research for your book?

The setting for THE SKY THRONE is ancient Greece specifically, in the close lens, with the vast ancient world at large filling out the background. The one feature of my story that stands out is that it is pre-human. Only deities exist all across the world.

So in researching, I familiarized myself with every aspect of ancient Greece, from the flowers that grew where, the types of food eaten, the manner by which people wore cosmetics and lightened their hair.

But foremost, my research surrounded analyzing Hesiod’s Theogony. This document, being the most agreed upon creation myth for Greek mythology, served as my guidepost. Even though I re-imagined the Olympians and some Titan children as teenagers attending rival academies, I still followed the general plot flow of the original text.

Additionally, because I weave in myths from other pantheons, I had to research them too to ensure that timelines and subject matter fit in with the main story I am telling.

In terms of sources, I have many books on Greece and mythology. Like so many. But I also relied heavily on Internet searches and Google maps. I tried to make sure that I cross-referenced two or three Internet sources.
