3 Self-Help Books On My Radar (Bookish Discovery #4)

Hi everyone! I have recently been really interested in self-help books. They may seem boring and preachy but I’ve come to realize that a lot of them are actually pretty interesting and useful. I definitely plan to read more self-help and non-fiction books in the future. Today, I wanted to share with you all the ones that I am most excited about.

Bookish Discovery This Week is a weekly meme hosted by me and Mridula from Ecstatic Yet Chaotic. In this, we talk about something new that we discovered which is book related. It can be something that is recently created or discovered or it can be something old that you just discovered or you are interested in. Basically anything that is related to books. You can also share some news or talk about something that caught your eye. All book lovers are welcome to join us 🙂

1. How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life by Lilly Singh

We all love Lilly a.k.a Superwoman. I honestly really admire her work ethic, her positive attitude and simply just how a wonderful human being she is. I’ve been dying to read this book ever since it came out in March. I keep procrastinating buying it but I’m hoping to get it soon. Let’s see whether or not this book will help me conquer life.

2. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

Usually, I find self-help books like these unrealistic but a few months back, I came across the twitter handle of The Secret. Lines from the book are posted there everyday and I’m really intrigued by them. I’ve heard people say that this is a life changing book so I want to read the whole thing and see for myself.

3. The Ultimate Guide to 21st Century Careers by Sanjeev Bikhchandani and Richa Dwivedi

I recently read Career Rules by Sonya Dutta Choudhary and I found it very well-written and quite informative. This seems like a good book to read after that. Also, I could do with some solid career tips and this book seems like a suitable pick.

There are loads of self-help books I want to read but I wanted to keep this list short and only mention the ones that are on the top of my TBR list.

Do you guys like reading self-help/motivational books? Which are your favorites?

  1. I think I have ‘The Secret’ at my home, I’m not sure :/
Also, my friend read the 1st book. I’ll ask him and let you know if it was actually good 😀

  2. Hey, I was wondering- have you read ‘Wonder’ by R.J. Palacio?
It’s not exactly a self-help book, but it’ll certainly change your life(no kidding)

If you haven’t read it/don’t have it, you MUST get it!

If you have it but haven’t read it, you MUST read it!
