I said in my first book haul post that I don’t do monthly book hauls because I don’t collect a lot of books in a month
That changed last month.
I accumulated a total of 14 books in April. That in itself is more than the books I collected in the whole of 2016. Six of these books I have already talked about in my used books haul post in the middle of April. I’m going to tell you a little bit about the rest of them.
My Used Books Haul
- The Company of Women by Khushwant Singh
- The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
- Sea of Poppies (Ibis Trilogy #1) by Amitav Ghosh
- And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K Rowling
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K Rowling
Other Books I Bought
A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book since I finished the TV show and I finally got it! I have already read about 100 pages and I’m enjoying it so far. I don’t know why people say that this book is very dense and has long descriptions. I don’t feel like it’s dragging at all and I’m actually enjoying the pace.
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
I bought this book for school. This is the sixth Shakespeare play I own and I still haven’t finished reading even one. I am about halfway through The Merchant of Venice though and I’m hoping to finish it soon.
Books I Received
Deceived by Heena Rathore P.
This is an ARC and thanks to the publisher for sending it to me. It is a psychological thriller by a debut author. I have already read this book and I absolutely loved it! My review will be up soon.
Rafflesia- The Banished Princess by Gautam
Thanks to Writers Melon for sending this book to me to review. It follows the story of Appu who must come out of a fairytale and face the reality. This book sounds very intriguing and I’m really excited to read it.
Men and Dreams in the Dhauladhar by Kochery C. Shibu
I won this book in a giveaway hosted by the amazing blog Halo of Books and it was sent to me by the author. A huge thanks to both of them! This book takes place in the Himalayas and follows the story of three men as they work on a hydel project.
Dangerous Games by Danielle Steele
This is the latest book of Danielle Steele. Thanks to Pan Macmillan India for sending it me as part of an Instagram giveaway. This is going to be my first read by this author and I’m really excited for it!
- The next two books were sent to me by Hindustan Brunch as a gift for my continued participation in the #BrunchBookChallenge. A huge thanks to them! I had no idea what they were going to send so this was a wonderful surprise 🙂
The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer
I was actually thinking of getting this book and I was so glad when I received it. It would be really interesting to read something completely different by this author. This book is a mystery thriller and I’m really looking forward to reading it.
Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray
I have never heard of this book but it has a really cool cover and sounds very interesting!

I am still side eyeing Stephenie Meyer as she never followed through with the Host sequels
