Introducing A New Segment For Underrated Books

Underrated Books

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to talk a little bit about underrates books. We all have some books that we love just a little more than others. There are books that very few people know about. There are books that discuss a very important topic but it fails to reach many people. These are underrated books. We should all make an effort to share with each other the books we feel are underrated.

Before telling you guys what I have planned, I just want to give a shoutout to Kajree at The Art Of Living. She started #underratedbookishmondays on Bookstagram with the aim of promoting underrated books. My idea is inspired by this.

So this is what I have decided.

Every month I will read one or two books that fall into one or more of the categories.
-A book published more than two years ago
– A book I have never seen anyone talk/write about or recommend. Books that don’t have a lot of online presence
– A book with less than 500 ratings on Goodreads.

At the end of the month, I will write a post about the book or books (most probably a review). However, I will only write a post if I enjoyed the book because I cannot recommend a book that I personally did not like. I’ll try to read at-least one underrated book every month and write a post about it.

I know that I can’t reach each and every person through my blog and my writing about a book will not drive hundreds of readers towards it. But I do believe I can do my part in spreading the word about a book I feel more people should read.

Hope you’re as excited as I am to start discovering underrated books!
