Foreign cuisine, local outlet, same old people.
It’s wonderful how we laugh.
Another win, sweat to cash, top of the mountain nearer.
It’s sad how we envy.
Fake smiles, congratulations whispered, holding back sarcasm.
It’s inevitable how we crash.
Burnout, credit card bills, no risks, only fear.
It’s admirable how we carry on.
Highs and lows, kisses and backstabs, raised glasses and gulped water.
It’s a relief we try and try.
Love not just laughter, hope not just sadness
