Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week’s topic is “Ten Of The Best Books I’ve Read Recently”. This is my first Top 10 Tuesday post. Its an amazing meme and i will be doing it as often as i can. So here’s my list in the order of how recently i read them.

I loved this book! It was one of the earliest books i read this year. It was heartwarming and meaningful. It is about a Macy’s relationship with her mother, the new friends she makes and how she deals with her father’s death. I also have a review of this book here .

2. Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan

This book was amazing! I thought it would be just a book of the Greek myths and stories and i didn’t think i would be able to get into it. But it was such a very pleasant surprise! The narration was fantastic and i had a great time reading it. I also have a review of this book here.

3. Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

This was one of my most anticipated books of 2015 and my first read on Norse mythology. It was fascinating and absolutely hilarious! It had Rick Riordan’s classic humor and witty dialogue. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series that comes out in October, 2016. I also have a review of this book here.

4. Blankets by Craig Thompson

An amazing coming-of-age graphic novel! I read this book in one sitting and loved everything about it! It was beautiful and interesting throughout. It was quite long and it felt like i was really on a journey on the main character’s life. The main character is Craig and the book features his development from a child to an adult, his struggles with religion and faith, his relationship with his family and his romance with a girl named Raina.

5. City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

A great ending to a phenomenal series! I loved this series and was actually sad to be done with the characters. Nevertheless, I really liked this last book and was satisfied with the ending.

6. The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

This was an excellent stand alone paranormal book! It is about Hazel and Ben and the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae live together. The world was very interesting and the writing was pretty good. It took me a while to get into the book and i didn’t feel particularly connected to the characters but i still really liked it.

7. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

I’ve been a fan of Sherlock Homes since i read The Hound of the Baskervilles about 3 years ago. Since then i have watched the TV series Sherlock and read a few more books in the series including an abridged edition of some of the short stories.
I loved this collection!! I like the short stories more than the novels. They keep you hooked and you can never ever predict the ending.

8. Divergent by Veronica Roth

Fast-paced, thrilling, interesting and simply amazing!!
I loved Divergent! I usually like books that are more slow-paced but i loved how things just kept happening in this book. It kept me on my toes and even scared the hell out of me at times.

9. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I’m really glad i decided to read this book. Its now one of my favorite classics. I loved how meaningful it was and how much you learn from it. The setting felt peaceful to me and i loved Scout’s narrative.

10. On the Fence by Kasie West

I really enjoyed this book! Its a sweet, contemporary YA book that i read in one sitting. I loved how it was a perfect mix of family dynamics and romance.
