In terms of reading, May was a good month. In the beginning, I was reading very slowly but towards the end my summer holidays started and then I was reading like crazy.

This book was sent to me by the author for review. It follows the story of two teenage girls in the 90’s. It is about their struggles with racism and colorism and what they see in their society. I really enjoyed this book and I’ll post a full review of it soon.

2. Sick Of Being Healthy by Monisha K. Gumber

This book was also sent to me for review. It is an illustrated book and follows the story of Tara as she deals with the problems that come from being a teenager. This book was a lot of fun to read and I really enjoyed it. I’ll do a full review of it soon.

3. Rafflesia- The Banished Princess by Gautam

This book was sent to me for review by Writersmelon. It is the story of Appu’s life and struggles. It starts from his childhood and tells us about the bonds and friendships he makes throughout his life and how he wishes he could stay in his favorite story forever.

5. The Girl of The Train by Paula Hawkins

I bought this book two years ago and finally picked it up this month. I read it as part of The Bookish Talks Youtube book club hosted by Indian Booktuber. You can find the live discussion here. This book definitely lives up to the hype and it is probably the best book I’ve read so far this year! It was so thrilling. I loved the author’s writing. It was so fluid and captivating. The train aspect of the book made it even more fascinating. The mystery was insane. I was suspecting each character. I’m so glad this book wasn’t predictable as that would’ve ruined the fun. I’m really looking forward to picking up Gone Girl now since I’ve heard so many great reviews about it.

6. The Rulebreakers’ Club: The Ghost Who Wasn’t There by Sowmya Rajendran

I won this book in a Twitter contest held by Crossword Bookstore and it was sent to me by Penguin India. This is a short children’s book. It follows a group of kids who are trying to get rid of their annoying dog and get caught up in a bank robbery. This book was an okay read for me. The plot was fine and I think it would appeal more to someone younger than me. There were some funny moments which I really enjoyed and one thing I loved was the writing. It was simple but very smooth and much better than what I would expect from a children’s book.

7. Leo Loves Aries (Signs of Love #1) by Anyta Sunday

This was a quite fun NA romance read. I feel like these books are great to read to just relive stress and read something in one or two sitting.

8. The Hot Shot (Game On #4) by Kristen Callihan

This is one the fourth installment in one of my favorite romance series. I enjoyed this book just as much as the others and hope there are more to come.

Tv Shows

I’ve been watching some episodes of Friends recently. I also started watching Teen Wolf. I’m enjoying it so far even though its a little cheesy. Also, I was not aware the hotness level in this show would be so high 😀
