Indian Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR List (Top 10 Tuesday #9)

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. For future Top Ten Tuesday topics & info on how to participate, click here.

Hey guys! So today’s Top 10 Tuesday topic was 10 Books From any Genre That I’ve Recently Added To My TBR List. As you can see, I choose the topic of books by Indian authors.

This list specifically contains the Indian book thats I don’t currently own but they have piqued my interest and I want to read them sometime in the future. So let’s get started.

The Palace Of Illiusions by by Chitra Bannerjee Divakaruni

The Palace of Illusions by [Divakaruni, Chitra]

This book sounds amazing and it has got great reviews! I haven’t read any books like this so I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Just check this out:

Blurb from Amazon: The Palace of Illusions takes us back to a time that is half-history, half-myth, and wholly magical; narrated by Panchaali, the wife of the five Pandava brothers, we are — finally — given a woman’s take on the timeless tale that is the Mahabharata.

The Immortals of Meluha or Scion of Ikshvaku by Amish

With the hype surrounding his latest release Sita – Warrior of Mithila, I really want to start atleast one of the series by this author.

A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth

This book is said to be one of the longest written books in English in one volume. It has around 1500 pages and this is what intrigues me. If a book this long is said to be one of the best works of Indian literature then there must be something special about it, right? Also, the plot sounds really good.

Jukebox

This book is a short story collection by various new Indian authors. I really like anthologies so I think this could be a good read as well.

The Four Patriots by Sumit Agarwal

This is a recent release and I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about it. I think it follows the theme of patriotism and I’m interested to see how the author handles it.

I also want to read more books by Sudha Murty and Ruskin Bond.

I hope you all enjoyed this post 🙂 Leave a link to your post down below.

  1. I’ve had A Suitable Boy on my TBR list for so long now and still haven’t got around to reading it. I must get around to it soon.
